Ropes from Gleistein®

Mooring

The promise of seven powerful cores is faithfully kept by the unique mooring construction. With plenty of reserves to spare for the most extreme demands, permanently bundled and protected by a robust braided cover.

Mooring (MULTIPLE CORE ROPE)

  • MegaMooring Dyneema®
    PES/Polysteel/Plus*
    • - Core made of Dyneema®
    • - Cover made of PES, Polysteel or Plus*
  • GeoMooring Polyester/Polyamide or Plus*
    • - Core and cover made of the same material
  • Diameter: Ø 52–168 mm

* Plus = combined Polysteel/Polyester yarns, mottled green/white, high strength and abrasion resistance compared to Polysteel

Mooring (MULTIPLE CORE ROPE)

One

So simple, yet so effective: In One, a single supporting braid determines the rope’s technical properties – and thereby opens up unlimited deployment possibilities from a textile replacement of steel wire ropes to elastic safety lines.

One

  • MegaOne DynaOne/DynaOne HS
  • GeoOne Polyester/ Polyamid/ Power(Plus*) 12 /GeoProp
  • Diameter: Ø 1–96 mm

* Plus = combined Polysteel/Polyester yarns, mottled green/white, high strength and abrasion resistance compared to Polysteel

One

Square

A rope with more than just one angle: The economical square plait rope is unbeatably robust and grippy, is easy to splice – and has therefore the most popular construction for ship mooring lines.

Square (SQUARE PLAIT)

  • MegaSquare Dyneema
  • GeoSquare Polyester/ Polyamid/PowerPlus*/ PowerPlait (= Polysteel) /GeoProp oder PP Monofil
  • Diameter: Ø 12–144 mm

* Plus = combined Polysteel/Polyester yarns, mottled green/white, high strength and abrasion resistance compared to Polysteel

Square

Twin

In all double braid constructions, the braided core and surrounding cover share the load. Nevertheless, these twins are not equal.

Twin (KERMMANTLE ROPES AND DOUBLE BRAIDS)

  • MegaTwin Dyneema PES (HS**)/Plus* (HS**)
    • - Core made of (heat-set) Dyneema®
    • - Cover made of PES, Polysteel or Plus*
  • GeoTwin Polyester/Polyamid/Plus*/GeoProp
    • - Core and cover made of the same material
  • Diameter: Ø 5–96 mm

* Plus = combined Polysteel/Polyester yarns, mottled green/white, high strength and abrasion resistance compared to Polysteel
**HS = Heat-set

Twist

The classic construction… Irresistibly simple and proven over five millennia: the laid (twisted) rope. Fibres are twisted to yarn, yarn to twine, twine to braids and the braids to rope. This durable and economical construction still impresses in many areas to this very day due to its good absorption characteristics.

Twist

  • GeoTwist Polyester/ Polyamid/PowerPlus* / PowerLaid (= Polysteel) /GeoProp oder PP Monofil
  • Diameter: Ø 6–68 mm

* Plus = combined Polysteel/Polyester yarns, mottled green/white, high strength and abrasion resistance compared to Polysteel
