The large shipyard J.C. Tecklenborg in Bremerhaven-Geestemünde is a place fraught with history. Here, among other things, some legendary great sailing vessels were built. More than 70 years later, some of their proud and powerfull riggs can still be seen on the horizon.
Unfortunately, in the 1920s the shipyard became another victim of the great world economy crisis and was forced to close down. But in 1928 some spirited men, having their backgrounds in the shipyard and bringing rich experience with them, founded the company Tecklenborg, Kegel in Bremerhaven.

After World War II and the post-war confusions the company moved in 1951 into a new building in the fishing harbour of Bremerhaven where Tecklenborg, Kegel is situated until now. The company made a considerable contribution to the upturn in the deep-sea fisheries, which reached its climax in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Especially customers such as shipowning companies, shipyards and the building industry benefitted from this fact. Additionally, clients from the areas of cargo and barge shipping as well as the hydraulic engineering were gained. The consequence was a successful operating performance: The company was constantly growing and the export business was enlarged more and more.

Today, specialists carry the production of high-quality crane rope-systems. Specially developed facilities guarantee the compliance of all safety criteria and fulfil every quality claim.

Optimally qualified specialists are available day and night when urgent help ist needed on the cargo gear, crane, ramp or bridge.
